One of the main new products released by Tramontina was the first chair made of recycled plastic, in partnership with Braskem. Each item of the Diana and Sissi models uses 80% recycled materials with guaranteed origins. Tramontina manufactures the chairs from recycled material sold by Braskem. The initial estimate is that around 600 tons of recycled PP will be used per year to produce three different models in black and brown.
Undergoing static, impact and back leg tests, in compliance with Inmetro standard n° 341/2014, the project ensures the safety of the product in a process that uses high technology and with guaranteed origins. The initiative is part of the Wecycle platform (created by Braskem in 2015), which seeks to foster businesses that value plastic residues throughout the entire manufacturing chain, contributing with actions that favor recycling, post-consumption and the environment.
The novelty was promoted by our brand PR and it resulted in over 80 different appearances across a wide range of media vehicles.
